Apostle Dr. Opoku Onyinah is currently the Chairman of the Church of Pentecost, a Pentecostal denomination with its headquarters in Ghana having branches in 84 nations, worldwide.
He holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Theology from University of Birmingham, UK and a Masters in Theology in Applied Theology from the University of Manchester, UK (done at Regents Theological College, Nantwich, UK).
He served as the first International Missions Director of the Church of Pentecost from 1991 to 1996.
He is a Commissioner of World Missions and Evangelism of the World Council of Churches (WCC).
He is the President of the Ghana Pentecostal and Charismatic Council (GPCC) and also the Chairman of Ghana Evangelism Committee.
He is the Chairman of the Ghana Evangelism Committee
He is a board member of Ghana Institute of Linguistics, literacy and Bible Translation (GILLBT).
He is a member of the National Peace Council of Ghana.
He was called into full time ministry in 1976 and stationed at Wa, and later Kumasi. He also served as Regional Head in Volta Region from 1984 to 1986. He later became the Regional Apostle for Eastern Region from 1988 to 1991. He has been in the full time ministry for thirty-five (35) years.
He became the first Rector of the Pentecost University College (PUC), Sowutuom, Accra from 2003 to 2008.

He is married to Grace and together have six children.
